I wish them luck, but I'm not that hopeful. Boulle's apes sailed around space, using solar sails. My thought which I expressed aloud to my theater companion, as the apes headed out to the Muir Woods after sacking the research facility and the battle on the Golden Gate Bridge was: "Well it's open season on apes in the Muir Woods, now". I think they'd have been lucky to have a breeding pair survive until the virus had reduced humanity to the point where humans wouldn't be blasting the Muir Woods into oblivion. I thought it was an interesting twist on the story nonetheless. One of my friends is the chimp vet at the Save the Chimps sanctuary, and I'm curious to hear her take on the film. I know their organization is founded on the principle that their chimps are never loaned out to research facilities like the Sanctuary in the film did, so I think that part of the film was kinda a caricature of evil villains/Snidely Whiplash.Miguelitoh2ohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12058579019714806156noreply@blogger.com
